Hello, my name is Emily and I'm the owner of Hearth & Flower Bakery. I specialize in gluten-free baked goods like cookies, donuts, and mini muffins. I have been gluten-free for the past 11 years and love making gluten-free baked goods and trying new recipes. As a little kid I had always liked helping my mom in the kitchen, but it wasn't until I was in my early 20s (haha, now!) that I realized how much I enjoyed baking and making things with my hands. My favorite go-to recipe is my Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe.
I married the love of my life and best friend, Chad in May of 2025. In February of 2026 we bought a house together here in Elkhorn, WI and really enjoy the area. When I'm not baking, some of the outdoor activities Chad and I like to do together are hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, disc golf, going for runs, and this year Chad is teaching me how to play pickleball!
I grew up in rural northern WI on a farm. We raised chickens, cattle, horses, pigs, goats, and sheep. I was home schooled and loved being outdoors and taking care of all the animals. When I wasn't outside I could be found reading a book or helping my mom in the kitchen.
